Great food and amazing service. My daughter dropped her favorite broccoli tempura while trying to use her chopsticks. We just chalked it up as a lost item. The team over there quickly picked it up and threw it away. A few minutes later they had brought a new one for my daughter. It couldn't have made my daughter happier. That's the kind of service that will make me go back.

Excellent Japanese Restaurant We had lunch and dinner at Sanraku. It is not a very large restaurant and we saw that there was a crowd in front of the restaurant and the wait time was long the first night we were in San Francisco. For lunch the day, we went earlier. We found that the Bento Boxes were an exceptional value at lunch time. We had shumai and gyoza as starters, and California rolls, and Sesame Chicken and Salmon Teriyaki as main entrees for our two Bento Boxes; these came with rice, salad and miso soup. Both Bento Boxes were delicious. At dinner, the menu is a little bit more expensive and we had Salmon Teriyaki and Chicken teriyaki; also very good. As we were staying at Club Wyndham Canterbury, we got a green tea ice cream, too. Lunch is very reasonably priced with dinner somewhat higher priced. Great little Japanese restaurant in SF.

So glad this place is open for takeout during SIP. Amazing, high quality, fresh sushi. We had the dungeness crab chirashi bento and several maki rolls. The bento was packed with a wide variety of interesting and tasty bites, and the centerpiece chirashi had a generous portion of crab and roe. We definitely got our money's worth. We also had the vege tempura sushi, which is usually a throwaway, but here was both interesting and hearty. Please support Sanraku during SIP-we want them to stay around!

Excellent excellent excellent. Some of the best Japanese food I've had, including even in Japan. Everything was cooked to perfection. Really wonderful experience.

If you're looking a place to get some high quality fatty tuna, this is it. It's unique and high quality tuna, it pops in your mouth and becomes buttery in consistency. Weird description, but it's awesome I promise. You have to try the 49ers roll if you like salmon! They top it with a tiny sliver of lemon which enhances the flavor so much, it's one of my favorites. The crunchy roll takes the cake for me, it's got a spicy crab or salmon mix in the middle and has SO much flavor, one of the chefs recommended it to us. The veggie tempura is great as an appetizer and they give you a lot, super fresh and crunchy. The miso soup is so good! A lot of flavor and has a good amount of tofu and seaweed, perfect for a cold day.
